How to manually remove the Labtech LTS Service

This is a quick rundown on how to manually remove and stop the Labtech agent from running on computers. especially handy for MSPs that have token over a client and the outgoing MSP did not trigger an uninistall.

This is done in a four step process and should take all of 5 minutes.

First we need to remove the services

1. Right-click Windows key click run
2. in the run box type services.msc
3. Select ‘LabTech Monitoring Services’ and stop the service, the service may be called the outgoing MSP name.
4. Select ‘LabTech Monitoring Services CheckUp Util’ and stop the service, the service may be called the outgoing MSP name
5. Open Command Prompt add type / copy the two below lines
   1. ‘sc delete ltservice’
   2. ‘sc delete ltsvcmon’

Next we need to edit the registry

1. Right-click Windows key click run
2. In the run box type services.msc
3. Remove the registry keys under HKLM\Software\LabTech. If running a 64-bit OS, remove keys that may exist under HKLM\Software|Wow6432Node\LabTech

1. Right-click taskbar
2. Select Task Manager
3. Under the processes tab, select ‘LTTray.exe’
4. Click end process.

Delete application

1. Browse to c:\Windows
2. Find and right-click LTSvc folder and select delete
3. Reboot Computer
